I had doubts for a long time because the brand isn’t well known and there aren’t many reviews. Before buying, I honestly annoyed the sellers with a ton of questions — sorry guys
To be fair, they gave me very detailed answers to everything. In the end, I decided to go for it and placed the order.
Shipping took 18 days, which isn’t too bad actually. To glue the plates and install the rails on the roof, you do need to adjust them (out of the box they don’t perfectly match the BMW i3 width), but it’s pretty easy to do. I installed everything myself. I did ask for some online guidance though — if you email support, you can even arrange a call. Big thanks to the guys for that.
I had doubts about how strong this mounting system would be. But after two months of use, I can say it’s solid enough for my needs. If you’re not planning to carry heavy loads, this is a good solution. I also ordered a cargo box separately and sometimes carry a couple of suitcases or my board. So far, no issues.

They work
They work, and hopefully will continue to stick. Took forever to ship and get here, they don’t come pre fit to the i3 so you have to adjust the rails before you put them on. Loud whistle when you go over 30 mph. Also paid an extra $60 on top of shipping when the rails finally arrived due to tariffs I believe. The customer service was pretty responsive, though. Overall, the wait, the hassle, and the end product, I would say are not worth what I paid. But they work for now so I can’t be too upset!
Unfortunately, due to tariff policy, all orders sent to the United States are subject to an additional customs duty. We have no control over this. We are unable to calculate the amount of the duty, as it varies each time. It seems that customs officials set the amount of this duty at their own discretion. We apologize for the inconvenience and are currently looking for ways to resolve this situation.
Keep the prototype esthetic of your i3 with No-Drill Roof Rack
I installed this system just two weeks ago and so far they have lived up to my high expectations. A very streamlined, black-metal finish, completely in keeping with the i3 esthetic, combine with solid construction, and easy installation. The 3M-made-adhesive patches securing the magnets to the roof seem up to the job, where no-one wants to drill into this vehicle roof. Granted these particular racks will live most of the time in a garage and will only be weight-challenged by carrying surfboards to and from local beaches. My surfboards only weigh 20 lbs soaking wet. One other peculiarity which I have not yet resolved is that without load the cross-member pieces whistle, a tune, quite beautifully due to an adjustment slot in the underside of the cross bar. I expect that some black electrical tape will take care of this quirk.
